About Me
Hey there! I’m Alex (she/her), a UK-based theatre director, intimacy director/coordinator, writer, and teacher.
I love telling adventurous stories that amplify the experiences of women and queer folx. After my secret mission to incorporate a dinosaur into all of my projects was discovered, I founded T. Regina Theatre Co* with the goal of making "chewy theatre for chewy humans."
Since then, I have produced and directed three full productions under T. Regina: Scenes with girls (Golden Goose Theatre, April 2025), My Name is Rachel Corrie (Etcetera Theatre & Palestine House, July 2025), and Late, A Cowboy Song (Hen and Chickens Theatre, December 2025), in addition to an R&D of a new play, Tourist in a Dream.
Other recent credits include Merchant of Venice 1936 (Trafalgar Theatre, West End, Assistant Director on placement), No End (Baron’s Court Theatre, Director), and Lost the Plot (The Cockpit/Archetypicals, Devising Facilitator).
Originally from Wenatchee, WA, USA and currently based in London, my theatrical adventures have taken me to Chicago, DC, Ohio, New Hampshire, El Salvador, Poland and Indonesia. I am the creator of Out There (2022, Andy's Summer Playhouse) and the co-creator of Poetry and Prose (2019, Whitworth University), two original musicals.
I hold an MFA (with distinction) in Theatre Directing from East 15 Acting School in London, where I am now an acting tutor. I completed my BA (summa cum laude) in Theatre from Whitworth University. As an intimacy professional, I have trained with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC) and Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE). I am also an acting tutor at East 15. I am committed to using antiracist, consent based, and trauma-informed practices in my rehearsals and classrooms.
When not in rehearsal, you can find me wandering bookstores, snacking on dill pickles, or locating the nearest cat for a snuggle.
* As in, the feminine of T. Rex - "queen of the lizards"
